Excerpt: Perpetrating Partridge is Persistent

On November 7, while Pat and Merlin Young were in another part of their house, they heard a loud thud. They came running into the living room where their large bay window immediately caught their attention.

“It was smashed and there was a hole in the middle of it,” recalled Pat. “We couldn’t believe it. Then we realized that there was a partridge sitting on the couch.
